Thankful Thursday - The Word Is OUT!

Well, if you haven't figured it out by now, when I'm missing from the blogging world, something big is happening in my life. When there are things going on that are consuming, but that I'm not ready to share with the world, I just can't seem to write about anything else, so I disappear.

This has been an interesting year full of ups and downs. We are extremely excited to announce that we're adding a baby to our family. Baby Terebessy is due to exit my womb (painlessly) on December 1, my grandma's birthday. As of today, I'm 9 weeks and 1 day pregnant.

Below is a labeled ultrasound picture from last week. We've had two already and are very glad to see a strong little heartbeat (162 bpm) on this sweet little baby. It's a profile shot if you still can't see it, like the baby is hugging my womb :)

Due to past complications, I'm under close monitoring with this pregnancy and have been reluctant to share the news of our impending bundle of joy - but once teenagers (and my 4 year old) know - THERE'S NO HIDING the news! Since you all know now. please pray for a healthy little baby if you think of us. I'm still extremely nervous.

Other big news, we're moving! It's happened so insanely fast, I've hardly had time to breathe. I just can't believe that life is running us so fast. I've been praying for God to help me trust him and stay in His will, and I truly believe he has! I have a blessed and utterly amazing life, and the last two and a half years has brought a lot of difficulty along with joy. After being on chemo for 2 years, threatened eye surgery, and an appendectomy etc etc etc....I feel like God's rewards are showering us, and it feels good. I will enjoy what he is giving us without waiting for the next bad thing. That only cheapens the blessing.

We put our house on the market two weeks ago and sold the house....two weeks ago. It sold the first day on the market...for asking price. If that's not God opening the doors I asked him to open if our moving was his will, I don't know what is!

We will be moving into my grandma's house a couple miles away. She is in an apartment now. It's the same house I grew up in! Hannah will sleep in my old bedroom and go to my Elementary School. I'm so excited and overwhelmed at the same time.

Well, I guess that's enough of an update for now. I need to eat some pickles sans ice cream.

Love you all.

  1. What a beautiful post. Having your own daughter growing up and sleeping in your old bedroom. What wonderful memories you both will share. You're a good person, Melissa, and I am proud to know that you have influenced my own daughter in a very positive way.
