Family Friday - How to deal with bad attitudes in children.

We've had some nasty attitudes around here lately...and I have to be honest my mini-me and I can clash pretty hardcore. I really want to be above all of that and respond in a way that Hannah needs me to. I want to respond in a way that helps her to CHANGE her responses to things instead of becoming more and more short-tempered her mother.

I just read this article and though basic, her advise on how to train your children is just perfect. I needed a good direction and this is it. Go check it out if you're having a similar problem with your kiddo.

Wellness Wednesday

Here are some health-things on my mind this week:

1. It's March and I've already well-surpassed my $500 health insurance deductible.

2. I'm feeling sick as a dog at moment - possibly feverish. I went to take my temperature and was shocked that it was only 93. "I MUST be dying." I thought to myself, before realizing I just finished a smoothie.

3. Emma was up for half the night, miserable from her shots and well-visit yesterday. At that appointment, we had a momentary concern for her size. It appeared that she had completely dropped off the growth chart for her height. After remeasuring, my little shorty is in the 10th percentile, which is where she always is, so everything is fine there. I don't think I could ever give birth to Andre the Giant though. Come on people, I'm five feet tall!

Here's a picture of my poor baby at Target snuggling up to a monkey backpack. She almost fell asleep in the cart like this!

4. I just spent $15 on allergy eye drops because, though I've never had allergies, the mild PA winter has cause me to want to gauge my own eyes out.

5. Lastly, I am pushing fluids!! I need to feel better. I never want to drink anything ESPECIALLY when I'm sick, but it really does help.

So, that's a random post, but it's what's happening in my world!

Tips and Hints Tuesday - Pantry/Ants

Tuesday's Tip - Keep this kid out of your pantry.

Here is Emma sitting in my pantry, doing what she does best. Playing with food coloring, spices, and sprinkles. It keeps her busy!

Seriously though, spring is here and it's time to clean out that pantry - or the cabinets where you keep your food. Even the most meticulous people have some crumbs or spilled honey in those dark back corners which is like a magnet for those annoying little insects.

A thorough cleaning makes a huge difference in the appearance of those ants.

Also, this grosses me out, but apparently you can create your own ant killer with boric acid, sugar, and water. Just KEEP IT AWAY FROM YOUR LITTLE PANTRY-DWELLERS THAT ARE WELCOME, like my little Emma Grace.

Money Monday - 100 Pictures for $5 SHIPPED!

I know it's a day early, but I just ordered 120 pictures from Snapfish and they are going to mail them to my house for $6.40! I had 20 free prints, so I had to pay the $1.40 to have the extra 20 shipped to my house...but the deal is:

100 4x6 prints for $5 including shipping. Enter the promo code RAINBOW at check out. You have until TUESDAY, MARCH 27!

Things that impressed me:

I was extremely impressed at the speed in which my photos were uploaded.

I could choose glossy or matte.

AND the most impressive thing to me was that I was able to, at no extra charge, select 4x5.3in photos for those that weren't automatically 4x6. I hate when they automatically crop your pictures to fit.

Here are just a few photos I'm excited to see:

Go! Do it!

Sunny Saturday

I swapped a "date" afternoon, for time with the kids. We headed to Frick Park - one of our favorite places to go. We had a picnic, playtime and a re-scraped knee. Now I have two tired babies that had a great day!

Ready to go, sun roof glass is out and we're ready to play!

I love her.

Picnic time with our beautiful girls.

I love them.

Hannah said - "Kiss daddy mom." I love him.

Sweetest sisters ever.

Hanging out in the tunnel.

I love this photo.

This kid has scraped her knee open AT LEAST 5 times. No joke.

I love my family.
I know I say that a lot.
It's just....true.

Best dad EVER.

Just threw a ball at me.

Hello :)

I really do miss blogging. I also think I put too many pictures on Facebook that no one cares about - so I need to put them here.

After having mono, I finally am feeling like myself again. Trying to manage my anxiety is a minute by minute activity, but I'm very determined to kick it to the curb once and for all.

Today I feel well. I feel as though I side-stepped anxiety multiple times. I'm learning how to manage the events that trigger it. I now understand that events that cause people to have "self-defeating" beliefs about themselves are the very things that trigger anxiety. It's very interesting to me and so insightful.

Anyhow, I'm enjoying every moment with my family. Life is so busy and I don't want to miss a minute. Pulling out Hannah's old clothes for Emma recently, I had a flashback. When Hannah got a certain pair of pajamas, the movie Click just came out. Adam Sandler's character has a little girl (maybe seven at the time) that runs down the stairs in the same jammies. Matt and I both got choked up watching it, back in the day, thinking about Hannah being that big.

Now, Emma is wearing those jammies and Hannah IS that big. It's crazy. I'm not sad, I just want to be engaged. I'm loving being a mom and wife. It's my favorite!

Here's what's going on in our world:

Here's our family at Hannah's science fair. She was so proud of herself and so were we!

Matt bought Hannah a T-Ball set, ball, bat and glove to practice with.

Aren't they cute??

Here's my little Telly Monster from Sesame Street

This was supposed to be bedtime. It became a sweet little snuggle-fest in Emma's room.

How cute is this? Matt took the girls to the park and caught this sweet picture on his  phone.
